Data Extraction & Recognition through OCR, ICR, OMR & Barcode Technologies

There are 4 types of recognition technologies: OCR, ICR, OMR and Barcode.

  • OCR (Optical Character Recognition) recognizes characters printed using a printer, a plotter or a typewriter. OCR is a technology that enables you to convert different types of documents, such as scanned paper documents, PDF files or images captured by a digital camera into editable and searchable data.

  • ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) is the computer translation of manually entered text characters into machine-readable characters. ICR is similar to optical character recognition (OCR) and is sometimes used in combination with OCR in form processing.

  • OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) recognizes simple checkmarks, grouped checkmarks, model checkmarks and check marks with "corrections" made by hand. It delivers an accuracy rate of 99.995%.

  • Barcode are common in everyday life because they are ?SAFE? (Secure, Accurate, Fast and Easy). Secure because it is difficult to alter and can be encrypted. Accurate as the accuracy rate is virtually 100% and can be enhanced with check digits. Fast enough to scan your data into a data capture software. It is easy to generate because they are basically just a font that can used in any software program and be printed on paper, labels or any other type of document.

Combination of these technologies offers you 99.99% accuracy in the structured and semi-structured form processing.
